Andrea Jaurrieta (Pamplona, 1986). Directora y guionista. Su ópera prima, Ana de día (2018), de la cual también fue productora, participó en más de 30 festivales nacionales e internacionales ganando 11 premios, que culminaron con su nominación a Mejor Dirección Novel en los Premios Goya de 2019.
Previamente sus cortos fueron seleccionados en múltiples festivales y algunas de sus video creaciones han sido exhibidas en instituciones culturales españolas e internacionales. En 2015 fue meritoria de dirección de Pedro Almodóvar en la película Julieta.
Sus proyectos cinematográficos han recibido becas como la de la Real Academia de España en Roma, la Residencia de Estudiantes de Madrid y la Academia de las Artes Cinematográficas de España.
Es licenciada en Comunicación Audiovisual por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, donde fue reconocida con el premio a la Mejor Directora de su promoción, Máster en Dirección Cinematográfica por la ESCAC y diplomada en Arte Dramático por el Laboratorio de William Layton.
Combina sus proyectos cinematográficos con su trabajo como profesora de Historia del Cine, Interpretación y Dirección en diversas escuelas especializadas y universidades de Madrid.

Andrea Jaurrieta (Spain, 1986) is a Goya-nominated writer and director. Her debut feature film, Ana by Day, which she also produced, participated in over 30 international festivals, winning 11 awards, which culminated with her nomination for Best New Director at the 33rd Goya Awards (Spanish Film Academy Awards).
In addition to having been Director’s trainee in Pedro Almodóvar’s Julieta, her short films have screened at international festivals and her video installations have been exhibited in artistic institutions globally.
She has been a recipient of grants from the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome, the "Residencia de Estudiantes" in Madrid and the Spanish Academy of Cinema Residences.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film, where she was awarded Best Director of her promotion, and a Master's Degree in Film Direction from ESCAC.
She combines her film projects with her work as a professor of Film Studies, Acting and Direction in several schools and universities.
